------Words------

I'd like to take a little time
To say words from my heart
They're words I should have said before
Yet I'm not sure where to start

Many times I've been unkind
and  hurtful words were said
I regretfully didn't consider you
I thought of me instead

Unkind words that I have spoken
without a second thought
I'd give so much to get them back
yet the words that I've said can't be bought

Please accept my apology
for the hurt I'll never again cause
I'll always remember and try to live by
the words in the following clause
 
Words are like a loaded gun
They can cause such torment and pain
So be very careful of what you say
Before using mouth,  engage brain!!!
