Where do we turn when we are lost 
And clouds overcome the day
Who lends a hand, no matter the cost  
Who lightens our darkened way

Who strengthens our faith giving us hope 
To continue life's treacherous path
And teaches forgiveness so cold hearts can cope
And souls that are saddened can laugh

Some say this spirit is inside each heart
Some say it's in God they rely
Perhaps each life on earth was born with a part
Of one soul which never does die

This eternal soul is where each person seeks
The answers to questions each day and night 
This God don't reside on high lofty peaks
It's a shared soul that brings us the light

So love one another, treat each person kind
Remember it's God's soul that we share
If we don't forget then we may soon find
There's no hatred, just loving and care.
