Take me back to times long ago
when our hearts were young.
Tomorrow then was so far away
and songs were yet unsung.
We can sit awhile in our favorite drugstore
and we can share a joke.
Laughing out loud we are lost in ourselves
as we enjoy cherry coke.  
Times, it seems, were happier then
it's no figment of the mind.
I'm thankful today for wonderful years
fond memories that we left behind.
