------A Silent Walk------

You sit all alone in your silver silence
and remember how your life has been.

As life's sunlight starts fading, you reflect on your journey
and time you have left to spend.

The pathways you've followed and efforts you've made,
you've tried to be honest and true.

All your shortcoming were just good intentions,
and mistakes that you made, small and few .

You've seen many people who traveled beside you
down life's hiway and found.

Some gained more attention than those close around them
were they born with some special crown.

They seem to learn faster, get more approval
or tell funnier jokes than you do.

But happiness don't linger for these types of people
It's a performance for others to view.

You've always tried harder for all your achievements
but most goals you completed weren't seen

Your invisible life may have never burned brightly
but now you know what it means

You must always try hard and leave no false impressions
just be true from the start

Feel honored and proud, God knows you were special
for the caring and love in your heart
