------Lost Tomorrows------

You treasure your tomorrows
yet keep them locked away
You invest your daily efforts
and pursue the promised day

But tomorrows seem to somehow fade
you wake up to find they're gone
There's no evanescent trail to follow
You can't hear tomorrows song

In search of your tomorrow
your strength comes from your soul
The journey's long and weary
but aren't dreams worth more than gold

You will start a search unending
and dedicate your life
You will follow vast horizons
and endure hardships and strife

To find a lost tomorrow
on some windblown shore
You defy the stinging sea spray
and ignore the ocean's roar

Are your hopes amongst the driftwood
cast there by a stormy wave
Or do all dreams end up shattered
even though you're strong and brave

Your search will last a lifetime
and if wreckage of tomorrow's found
You'll start and anchor new tomorrows
to more substantial ground

Some dreams will never come true
Sometimes you must bid a sad goodbye
The cards of fate are never your choice
Still, lost tomorrows make you cry
