TUSCALOOSA – Emerson Jackson "Jack" Yow, Jr., age 70, of Tuscaloosa died May 30, 2016, at Hospice of West Alabama. Graveside service will be 10 a.m. Thursday, June 2, 2016, at Tuscaloosa Memorial Park with Tuscaloosa Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be at graveside.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Emerson J. Yow and Kitty K. Yow.
Survivors include his wife, Teannie Giddens Yow of Tuscaloosa; son, Steven Yow of Raleigh, N.C.; brother, John Yow (Teresa) of Birmingham, Ala.; sister, Kay Harris (Robert); brother-in-law, Glenn Giddens (Val) of Houston, Texas; and nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Jack was born in Tuscaloosa, Ala. on May 22, 1946. He graduated from Tuscaloosa High School in 1964 and from the University of Alabama in 1969. He loved Alabama football, the THS Class of 1964 reunion committee and BBQ from most any location or state!
The family would like to thank Dr. DeBell and his staff for their many years of care. We would also like to thank each and every staff member at Hospice of West Alabama.
