NORTHPORT | Bobby Spencer, age 68, of Northport, died February 23, 2014, at home. Services will be 12 noon Thursday, February 27, 2014, at Memory Chapel Funeral Home with Jimmy Garner officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the funeral home. Memory Chapel Funeral Home, a Dignity Memorial Provider, is directing. He was preceded in death by his parents, Sidney C. and Bertha D. Spencer. Survivors include his wife, Carolyn H. Spencer; sons, Robert D. Spencer and Michael S. Spencer; brothers, Sidney Spencer and Larry Spencer; and grandchildren, Owen and Maggie Spencer. Bobby was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend. He was a giver of smiles, lender of laughter and former owner of Tuscaloosa Communications.Honorary pallbearers are Jerry and Corinne Giles, Dolan and Vicki Davis, and Judy and Dana Hamner.
