NORTHPORT Bobby Fretwell, age 67, of Northport, died December 6, 2013. Services will be 2 p.m. today at Carrolls Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Alan Roggli officiating. Burial will follow in Tuscaloosa Memorial Park with Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home North directing. Visitation will begin at 12:30 p.m. today at the church. He is preceded in death by his parents, Ruby Nell Everett, and stepfather, Chec Everett; and his brother, Richard Fretwell. Survivors are his wife Pat (Criswell) Fretwell of 31 years; his sister-in-law, Carol Fretwell; his brothers, Harvey Fretwell (Freda), Kenny Fretwell (Loretta), and Al "Jr." Lathem (Betty); his brothers-in-law, Tracy Criswell (Cindy) and Larry Criswell (Gail); and many nieces and nephews. Bobby also had special nieces, Carly and Kendall Criswell, and a special nephew, Clay Criswell. Bobby was a very special and unique guy. He was a man of God and loved his church. He served his country in the U.S. Navy for 4 years. So many wonderful things can be said. He was married for 31 years and loved his family, so I can say good bye my love, and I will see you one day. Pallbearers are Kent Criswell, Clay Criswell, Glen Criswell, Lee Criswell, Jerry Rogers, and Dalton Bobo. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Carrolls Creek Baptist Building Fund. .
