Ronald Craig Epperson, of Havana, Ala., died at Hospice of West Alabama on November 7, 2010, at the age of 64. Services will be 2 p.m. today, Nov. 9, 2010, at Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home South with Rev. Peter von Herrmann officiating. Burial will follow in Tuscaloosa Memorial Park with Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home South handling arrangements. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the funeral home.He was preceded in death by his parents, Carl E. Epperson, Sr., and Jewel Johnson Epperson. Ron retired in 2007 from the State of Alabama Examiners of Public Accounts with over 33 years of service as an auditor.He is survived by one brother, Carl E. Epperson, Jr. (Carol), of Sage, Idaho; aunts and uncles, Dorothy Elliott (D.G.), Marie Whitehead (Bobby), James R. Johnson, Hazel J. Brown, all of Tuscaloosa, and Doris Epperson of Stone Mountain, Ga.; numerous cousins; and godsons, William M. Marable (Michelle) and Jonathan E. Carr (Lisa) both of Tuscaloosa, and Dakota Cox of Birmingham. Pallbearers will be Phillip Johnson, Michael Whitehead, Jess W. Carr, Robert Cleere, Gary Manning and Bobby Cowart.Honorary pallbearers are State of Alabama Examiners of Public Accounts, Montgomery, Ala., Dr. Robert Bourge and Staff of UAB, Dr. Reginald Motley and staff, doctors and staff of Cardiology Consultants P C, Gary L. Johnson, Blaine and Tammy Cox, Don and Margaret Rainey, William Lawson, James R. Raines, Dan McClusky, Richard and Sandy Cross, and James R. Taylor.
