MONTGOMERY | Catherine Dent Beard, age 57, a resident of Montgomery, Alabama
died June 29, 2003.
A private family burial in Tuscaloosa, Alabama.
She was born and raised in Tuscaloosa, the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs.
Claud W. Dent, Jr. She graduated from the University of Alabama where she was
and still is an active member of Zeta Tau Alpha Sorority.
The last 26 years she was a dedicated and loyal employee of Jackson Hospital
serving in administration as the Medical Staff Coordinator.
She is survived by her children, Danny Lee Beard Jr., and Allison Beard
Johnston, daughter-in-law Debbie Beard and son-in-law Chuck Johnston, four
grandchildren, Avery Ann Johnston, MacKenzie Grace Johnston, Wilson Charles
Johnston, and Haley Nicole Beard.
In addition to her children she is survived by her sisters, Susan Dent
Winters, (Doug) of Mobile, AL and Joan Dent Curtis (Alan) of Birmingham, AL;
nieces and nephews, Valerie Winters Johnson (Pat) of Decatur, GA, Scott
Winters (Mae) of Mobile, Catherine Curtis Eickholt (Chris) of Anniston, AL and
Alan Ellis Curtis, Jr. of Birmingham.
Memorials can be made to her beloved church, Memorial Presbyterian Building
