ECHOLA - Linda Byars Spiller, age 72, of Echola, Ala., passed away February 2, 2019 at her home. Services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, February 6, 2019, at Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home North with Bro. Morgan L. Spiller, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow at Williamson Cemetery in Northport, Ala. with Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home North directing. Visitation will be 6 p.m. - 8 p.m. Tuesday, February 5, 2019, at the funeral home. She was preceded in death by her parents, Rev. J.M. and Mary Byars; sister, Juanita Byars O'Haver; and daughter-in-law, Margaret Hahn Spiller. Survivors include her husband of 54 years, Morgan L. Spiller, Jr. of Echola, Ala.; daughter, Beth Spiller Gibbs (Clay) of Echola, Ala.; son, Morgan L. Spiller, III of Echola, Ala.; sisters, Elizabeth Byars Carroll of Reynoldsburg, Ohio, Marie Byars Lively (Joe) of Baton Rouge, La. and Ruth Byars Graves (Don) of Tuscaloosa, Ala.; grandchildren, Brittany Spiller Humphries (Jeremy) of West Blocton, Ala., April Morgan Spiller of Echola, Ala., Clayton Alden Gibbs (Staci) of Bennet, Neb., Carol Ann Gibbs of Echola, Ala. and Ginny Grace Gibbs of Echola, Ala.; great-grandchildren, Heaven Humphries of West Blocton, Ala., Colter Gibbs of Bennet, Neb. and Lily Kate Gibbs of Bennet, Neb. She attended Crossroads Missionary Baptist Church in Gordo, Ala. and was retired from the U.S. Social Security Administration, Tuscaloosa office. Linda was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt. She was a talented musician always blessing others with her violin or piano and her voice. Linda was a prayer warrior, touching many lives with the love of God. Pallbearers will be family and friends
