Back to MEMORY AUGUSTA, Ga. William W. “Butch” Boothe, age 66, entered into rest Friday, Nov. 30, 2012, in Augusta, Ga. Memorial services will be held at a later date with McNeill Funeral Home of Martinez, Ga. in charge of arrangements. Born in Liverpool, England, he grew up in Tuscaloosa and graduated from Tuscaloosa High School in 1964. He worked in oil exploration in Africa and the Middle East before returning to Memphis, Tenn. in 2002. He was preceded in death by his parents, William “Bud” and Mary Boothe of Tuscaloosa. He is survived by three children, Louise Booth Daileigh of Tuscaloosa, William L. Boothe of Portland, Ore., and Brennan K. Boothe of Memphis, Tenn.; his brother, Edmund D. Boothe (Mary) of Evans, Ga.; his niece, Catherine A. Boothe of Atlanta, Ga.; his nephew, James Boothe (Kristina) of Jacksonville, Fla.; his aunt, Rachel Griffin (Stuart) of Duncanville; and his uncle, Mack Boothe of Tuscaloosa.
