GAINESVILLE, Fla.~~~~~Barbara Adams Parker, age 64, died suddenly Thursday, May 12, 2011, at her home.
Barbara was born in Tuscaloosa, Ala. and graduated from the University of Alabama with a Bachelor's degree in elementary education. She taught for many years prior to becoming a homemaker. Barbara loved sewing, loved her grandchildren, and she also loved to laugh. She was very selfless, a wonderful caregiver, and a Christian.
Barbara is survived by her husband, James R. "Bobby" Parker, III; son, James R. "Robbie" Parker, IV and his wife Heather; daughter, Angela Kline and her husband Ken; grandchildren, James R. Parker, V, Cameron Parker, and Amelia Kline; and step-grandson, Trevor Kline.
The family will receive friends at the Milam Funeral Home in Newberry, Fla. Sunday from 3 to 5 p.m. Graveside services will be held Monday, May 16, 2011, at 11 a.m. at Green Pine Cemetery in Yulee, Fla. with Milam Funeral and Cremation Services of Newberry directing.
